Social Enterprise-Responsibility

I mentioned Footsey 100, but a bit sooner on the calendar is a slightly different conference in Newcastle. A social enterprise and social responsibility conference. This conference is sponsored by Newcastle and European interests.

Of note: An interestingly framed question to be posed at the conference:

2. Companies that are governed by social objectives such as Traidcraft and Triodos Bank are social enterprises operating in the private sector. How will traditional business respond to this growth? Some private sector organisations are adopting a more socially responsible image. Is this something we should welcome or be suspicious of?
