Surprise, Surprise!

Seth is one of my favorite commenters. I say commenter , because he comments on life and business in a natural non guru fashion. His latest post is no different. I agree completely and often find myself trying to convince clients that surprise, when used appropriately, is a great technique to boost your business or spread the word on your idea, service, etc.

Why is it that so many smart people fail to realize that in a world of sameness, especially in the third sector, that a little dash of surprise may get your program noticed by your clients? If you are really cautious and hate surprises, you can still try the following:  Give them what they expect AND something they didn’t. See what happens.
