Entrepreneurs know this. Everyone else thinks otherwise. Best way to get started is to read the following posts:

Guy Kawasaki and Rob Greenland

The essence is in both of these commentaries. Don’t waste your time or anyone else’s time if you don’t want to sweat a bit for your idea. I would add only that you need to be flexible, because when  (1) the market research says X and you still want to do Y OR (2) your financier or funder tells you "no money for you", you need to be able to adapt and overcome to achieve your goal. Without this A&O attitude, you become reduced to pig-headed idealist. You see it all the time in politics. You know, the group that "does not compromise their ideals". That’s short hand for never get anything accomplished. Even Richard Branson, the maverick, has comprised along the way to get to the end goal.

We already are and will be talking and working with many more would-be and current entrepreneurs over the next couple of years and each one of them needs support, but they will also need a reality check. Which is not a bad thing if it leads to employment (plan B). At least economic activity is created. Flexibility has led to a positive outcome.
