This video is a great reminder of the power of the approach over simple knowledge.
I am constantly reminding the young guns on the team that problem solving is about the approach and not necessarily knowing or finding the answer. You can see, as demonstrated in this video, the more you focus on the approach; the more you understand the problem and the better your solution will be now and in the future. This is especially true when trying to solve socio-economic problems because they are complex and constantly changing. Formulas don’t work; methodology helps; but a considered and particular way of approaching these complex problems can allow several answers to be simultaneously correct. This is great for multi-variable problems encountered by social entrepreneurs.
